Plot

Suppose you're an attractive high-school girl and you're not only a member of a large and unique family but your father is, in fact, one of the great pioneers of industrial efficiency. Then suppose he decides, for no apparent reason, to apply his unorthodox methods to you and to the rest of your big family. The results are terribly embarrassing, funny and—it must be admitted—extremely effective!

PLOT

Paul and Corie Bratter are newlyweds in every sense of the word. He’s a straight-as-an-arrow lawyer and she’s a free spirit always looking for the latest kick. Their new apartment is her most recent find – too expensive with bad plumbing and in need of a paint job. After a six-day honeymoon, they get a surprise visit from Corie’s mother and decide to play matchmaker during a dinner with their neighbor-in-the-attic, Velasco, where everything that can go wrong, does. Paul just doesn’t understand Corie, as she sees it. He’s too staid, too boring, and she just wants him to be a little more spontaneous. Running “barefoot in the park” would be a start…

MALE ROLE

Paul Bratter:  He’s a man with a plan. He is working to become a lawyer and finding it difficult while living with his his spontaneous new wife. Paul is in his mid to late 20's.

FEMALE ROLE

Corie Bratter: She's spontaneous and free spirited, always looking for new experiences. This can sometimes be difficult for Corie's straight laced husband and her structured, suburban mother. Corie is in her early 20's.
